Jerusalem’s Temple Commemorative Coin

By Ben Arnold, 2018 February
8 minute read

Many believe that the Persian (Iran) pagan King Cyrus the Great is a perfect archetype of President Trump the 45th President elected during a Jewish Jubilee Year (5777). King Cyrus the Great (539 BC) is most famous among Jews as the one who allowed them to rebuild their temple at Jerusalem (destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar the Emperor of Babylon).

About:

“The Jerusalem Temple Half Shekel”

Coin’s typeface: “Cyrus — Balfour — Trump — Declaration 2018”

Why?

“The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering to the LORD [at the Jerusalem Temple], to make an atonement for your souls”
-Exodus 30:15

Balfour, or rather The Balfour Declaration was a public statement issued by the British government during World War I announcing support for the establishment of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, then an Ottoman region with an existing Jewish population (only 5% with Muslims representing the largest segment of the population, and Christians the second).

First, before I talk about the tragedies of the Middle East, lets be real and recognize that many nations around the world have suffered tragedies all throughout history due to war and violence. Perhaps there’s bias when I’m referencing Israel, however I have great grief, and sorrow, concerning the losses and suffering on the side of the non-Israeli nations and people involved in war and conflict with Israel and its allies.

While I certainly love Israel and the Israeli people, I also feel the same love for all nations, all people (including the Palestinians and Syria’s ally Russia). There is some bias in my feelings towards Israel (and America), but I mourn the losses on all sides. And my love is the same, for all. Especially those lost and injured during the invasion of 1967…

The Balfour Declaration’s words “in Palestine” meant that the Jewish national home was not intended to cover all of Palestine. However during the Muslim/Russian invasion of 1967 the far outnumbered and overwhelmed Israeli forces some how miraculously came out victorious and even captured Egypt’s territory the Gaza Strip and Jordan’s territory of West Bank and East Jerusalem, and Syria’s territory of the Golan Heights, by the Israeli defensive forces (mostly unarmed civilians; the US/UK refused to give weapons to Israel during its early history) which greatly expanded Israel’s territory.

NOTE: Israel’s military strength in 1967 was 50,000 active troops with 140,000 reserves, 300 aircraft, and 800 tanks (see more details down below in the section titled “The Miracle War” just before the conclusion of this article). (3)

In March of 2017 Trump quoted King Cyrus in commemoration of Nowruz (the Persian New Year), which was not noticed by most, but for others, this had considerable significance. A famous member of the Knesset (Israeli government organization) Yehuda Glick said that if Trump moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, “He will be the latter-day Cyrus.”

“Freedom, dignity, and wealth together constitute the greatest happiness of humanity. If you bequeath all three to your people, their love for you will never die.”
-President Trump quoting King Cyrus the Great in March

The following paraphrasing of the Bible’s verses concerning King Cyrus the Great is barely altered in a play on words, which eerily fits very smoothly:

“The God who sayeth to the Deep State, be dry, and I will dry up thy swamp, also sayeth of Trump, he is My shepherd and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt recognized; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.”
-Isaiah 44:27–28

Direct quote from the Bible:

“This they shall give: Half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary; a half shekel shall be the offering to the Lord.”
-Exodus 30:13

NOTE: The value of a shekel in biblical times was possibly what today is the value of 8 grams of silver (basically in terms of charity it would cover the cost of a meal for an unfortunately poor person; collectively everybody’s contributions would significantly enable construction, repair, and renovations of a massive architectural structure, and in spiritual or Christian or Jewish terms it would contribute significantly towards the eternal redemption, salvation, and glory of the giver’s soul through atonement).

Here are the details I promised you about the military situation of Israel back in 1967 when it was invaded by Muslim/Russian forces that were overwhelming:

The “Miracle” War…

This section discusses the strength of the Israeli military during the 1967 Muslim/Russian invasion.

During Charles Stuart Kennedy’s interview of Edward Gibson Lanpher (June 2002) who worked at the US Embassy in Israel during the war, he said the following (1):

Before the Six-Day War, the US had no military supply relationship with Israel at all. In the immediate aftermath of the war, the US was very eager to get its hands on a lot of the equipment that the Israelis had captured, Russian equipment that was of great interest to our intelligence community and our military because it was the same sort of equipment that the North Vietnamese were using against our forces in Vietnam (1967).

The US first got into a real military supply relationship the following year, 1968, when we negotiated the sale to Israel of combat aircraft. We sent Israelis to the States to train.

Prior to the war, I found Israel quite a depressing place. There was an economic recession. People were leaving the country. People were despondent. They were questioning whether the country had a future.

After the Six-Day War, they were totally energized. They felt that they were more secure. The economy started to turn around. They had been on the winning side.

“On May 30 of 1967 the Jordan King Hussein signed a defense pact with Egypt. And on June 4th the nation of Iraq joined the military alliance with Egypt, Jordan and Syria. Nearly 250,000 Arab troops, more than 2,000 tanks, and 700 aircraft were arrayed in battle formation along Israel’s borders. Arab leaders openly declared their intentions of militarily destroying Israel.” (2)

Jubilee Coin Last Year

"And you shall sanctify the fiftieth year – It shall be for you a Jubilee”
-Leviticus 25:10

With the advent of the Fiftieth Year – the Jubilee of the Liberation of Jerusalem and of the Temple Mount – a unique medallion was produced to mark this momentous event. The specially minted coin serves as a commemoration and symbolizes the thanks due to the Almighty for the beneficence bestowed upon the Jewish people – and, indeed, the whole of mankind.

The unique coin, which will find its way into homes and institutions the world over, is a portent that the upcoming Jubilee will, God willing, usher in the period during which the new Temple will be restored.

The beautifully designed engraving announces the “Jubilee Year for the Freedom of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount”, by means of the sounds of the “Jubilee Shofars” that emanate from the Temple itself. The shofar blasts intermingle with the radiance of the Menorah (the Candlebrum), bringing light to all of mankind.
